• What it is: An international, once-a-year contest (March) for grades 1–12 that emphasizes logical reasoning and creative problem-solving.
  • Duration & questions: Depending on level, the contest lasts about 60–75 minutes and includes 24–30 multiple-choice questions. Harder questions are worth more points.
  • How to prepare: Practice with past papers, review official solutions to learn multiple approaches, and build steady habits with short, regular sessions. Emphasize reasoning, estimation, and careful reading over rote computation.
  • Blue Ridge Boost in-person classes: Blue Ridge Boost offers in-person preparation classes focused on problem-solving, pacing, and test strategies. Sessions use past papers and themed problem sets, include guided solution discussions, and provide take-home practice in small, supportive groups.
  • Math Kangaroo Online classes: Math Kangaroo’s official online shop with preparation and enrichment materials aligned to MK levels and style.
