Math Kangaroo

What it is: An international, once-a-year contest (March) for grades 1–12 that emphasizes logical reasoning and creative problem-solving.
Duration & questions: Depending on level, the contest lasts about 60–75 minutes and includes 24–30 multiple-choice questions. Harder questions are worth more points.
How to prepare: Practice with past papers, review official solutions to learn multiple approaches, and build steady habits with short, regular sessions. Emphasize reasoning, estimation, and careful reading over rote computation.
Blue Ridge Boost in-person classes: Blue Ridge Boost offers in-person preparation classes focused on problem-solving, pacing, and test strategies. Sessions use past papers and themed problem sets, include guided solution discussions, and provide take-home practice in small, supportive groups.
Math Kangaroo Online classes: Math Kangaroo’s official online shop with preparation and enrichment materials aligned to MK levels and style.
